The peeling applied to improve lesion of the color and texture of the skin, to smooth wrinkles and improve the appearance of scarring after acne.
There are different types of peeling:
- The chemical peeling (fruit acids, glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid, phenol, etc.)
- To mechanical peeling (microdermabrasion with liquid crystals, with dermabrasion etc.)
- The laser peeling (CO2, Erbium, a combination of both, etc.)
The peeling may be superficial, medium or deep, depending on the problem to which it applies. Depending on the depth, you do not need no anesthesia or local application of cream (Emla 5%) or even general anesthesia.
Similarly, depending on the depth, the redness of the area subjected to peeling may last from several hours to several weeks, but may be maked up.
