This is one of the most popular Surgical Procedures both in men and women. A nose witch is not aesthetically unpleasant could be as a result of an injury or could be congenital. The goal of Rhinoplasty is an aesthetically and functionally perfect nose. With a number of procedures we can reduce the nose hump, change the size of the nose, the length, the nose and tip projection, the shape of the tip of the nose, the nasolabial angle the airflow through septoplasty of placing spreader grafts or turbinoplasty etc.
Rhinoplasty takes place under General Anesthesia. The incision is paced inside the nose and a small incision is placed at the area between the upper lip and the tip of the nose. Through these incisions we can change the septal and osseous frame of the nose with the ability to use septal grafts, use other procedures as well, and construct a new frame.
The first day post-op the patient has to stand a special nose tampon for avoiding a possible bleeding and also wear a nose splint for about 8-10 days post-op.
In the post-op state there are bruises and swelling for approximately 2-4 weeks.
The patient can return in his/her activities in about 10 days (return in sport activities after 2-4 weeks avoiding contact sports for about 6-8 weeks).
The aesthetic result comes after 4 weeks approximately, after the reduce of the swelling. The final result is at about 6 months to 1 year
